The TIP122 is a high-gain NPN Darlington power transistor designed for switching and amplification applications requiring higher current handling capability. Combining two transistors in a Darlington configuration, the TIP122 provides exceptionally high current gain, making it ideal for controlling motors, relays, solenoids, LEDs, and other medium-to-high power loads directly from microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, PIC, and AVR systems.
Housed in a durable TO-220 package, the TIP122 can handle collector currents up to 5A and voltages up to 100V, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial, educational, robotics, and DIY electronics projects.
